In the world of automobiles, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk was one of the most awaited SUVs. After the super success of the Jeep Compass in the Indian market, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk India launch is what the consumers are waiting for. This car is much more capable than its regular version and the launch is scheduled to be by the end of 2018 or in early 2019 for the Indian market.
At a private event, however, Jeep India has already showcased this beast. This car was showcased to the prospective customers and all the car dealership owners. The sale of the original Jeep Compass somewhat dropped after the facelifted XUV500 was launched, but Jeep is positive that this new model of Trailhawk will settle the scores once again. It is taking some time to launch this new vehicle because Jeep is still waiting for the sales of its previous vehicles to settle down in the Indian market.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is most awaited because of its main feature of being powered with all new diesel engine. The current version of the Jeep petrol variant offers 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. However, with the rising demand for the diesel variants in the market, the new Jeep Diesel automatic transmitted engine will be modified from the petrol variant and will offer only manual transmission. This upgrade will make the new model of Jeep very popular in the automobile market.
This brand new Trailhawk variant has added features as compared to the normal SUVs currently available in the market. It is equipped with Auto, Mud, Snow, and Rock mode. The major feature for which the consumers are anticipating its release is the Rock mode. This Rock mode will help the car drive through challenging routes and will be ideal for adventure trips. The new Compass Trailhawk also has a low-ratio transfer case. This case multiples the torque output of the car by 4.334 times enabling it to climb slippery surfaces easily and making it compete with its other rivals.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk version will also be upgraded with an increase ground clearance. This means the brand new beast gets an increased 20mm ground clearance than the other SUVs currently prevailing in the market. This alleviated ground clearance is also paired with modified bumpers which are completely redesigned and different from the previous models. The redesigned bumpers will increase the departure angle and will also benefit the approach of the entire car. This new Trailhawk version will be ideal for travelling to routes that are demanding and where regular SUVs won’t be compatible for driving through.
The Indian market will get the new Compass Trailhawk version in the same 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine which is available in the models yet to be launched in various parts of the world. This multi-jet engine will churn out a maximum of 350 Nm and 173Bhp. The automatic transmitted 9-speed dual-clutch engine will be available in a single variant and the price of this beast is expected to be something around Rupees 32 lakhs.
